Description
Full boost ahead. The AWE Exhaust Suite for the FL5 Honda Civic Type R is purpose-built to transform the sound, flow, and performance of the K20-powered beast while keeping your daily drive drone-free or aggressively tuned — your choice.
This is not just a muffler swap. Every AWE system for the FL5 includes an integrated full 3” frontpipe with a unique flange and steel gasket to preserve a true 3” diameter throughout. That means dyno-verified gains of up to 14 horsepower and 13 lb-ft of torque at the wheels, even on the stock downpipe.
Choose your configuration:
The Touring Edition is a refined beast. Featuring AWE’s patented 180 Technology®, a midpipe resonator, and thick-wall T304L stainless steel throughout, it offers deep, clean sound under throttle and complete silence at cruising speeds — even with an aftermarket catted downpipe. The 180 Technology® resonator eliminates cabin drone by canceling out problem frequencies without restricting flow, delivering the best of both worlds in a perfectly tuned daily setup.
The Track Edition keeps the same 3” construction and integrated frontpipe, but removes the 180 Technology® rear resonator for a straight-through rear section. The result? A raw, unfiltered K20 soundtrack that’s loud under load and especially aggressive with a downpipe. Warning: this one’s not for the faint of heart — and it’s not returnable based on sound preference. (But don’t worry, conversion kits are available to switch back later.)
Both editions are fully bolt-on, requiring no motor mount removal and offering generous underbody clearances. The stamped stainless trident merge leads to three 4.5” slash-cut, double-walled tips available in chrome silver or diamond black, each with an AWE logo and individually adjustable for the perfect fit.
Every system is emissions-friendly, factory-valve compatible, and built with AWE’s legendary precision — backed by a Perfect Fitment Guarantee, No CEL Guarantee, and Lifetime Warranty.
