Transform the performance of your 2015–2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost with the COBB Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) Upgrade. The stock intercooler is easily overwhelmed by heatsoak, leading to rising intake air temperatures and significant power loss. COBB’s larger, more efficient intercooler keeps charge air cooler, ensuring your EcoBoost maintains its power potential under hard driving.
During R&D, COBB engineers used computer fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis to design end tanks with internal air-diverting fins. These fins maximize airflow across the entire core, ensuring consistent cooling efficiency. With cast aluminum end tanks embossed with the COBB logo, 2.5″ inlet / 3″ outlet, and 3″ mandrel-bent aluminum piping, this intercooler is engineered for performance and reliability.
Installation is straightforward and requires no permanent modifications. The upgrade is fully compatible with the factory MAP sensor and pairs perfectly with tuning via the COBB Accessport. Although not required, tuning unlocks the intercooler’s full potential—especially when running Stage 2 Off-The-Shelf maps.
