The Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE Type A Fog Light Kit is engineered to provide maximum fog light performance while maintaining OEM-style fit and finish. Designed as a direct replacement for compatible factory fog lamps, this kit includes vehicle-specific Type A brackets, bezels, and plug-and-play wiring adapters for a seamless installation — no cutting or modifications required.
At the core of the SS3 is advanced Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optic technology, which captures and directs nearly all emitted light precisely where it’s needed. Unlike traditional reflector-based designs that lose light to glare and internal reflection, the SS3 optic functions as both the primary lens and beam-shaping element, maximizing efficiency and usable output.
The SAE Fog beam pattern utilizes Diode Dynamics’ FineLine optic design to produce an ultra-wide 80° horizontal spread with a controlled vertical cutoff. When installed and aimed properly, this kit meets SAE J583 Foglamp standards for legal on-road use, making it a true performance upgrade without sacrificing compliance.
