At the heart of the system are FOX’s 2.5-inch Performance Elite shocks, constructed from impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum bodies with Type III hard anodization to resist corrosion and wear. External reservoirs increase oil capacity, reduce heat buildup, and minimize harshness caused by nitrogen pressure ramp-up during aggressive driving.
Each reservoir is equipped with FOX’s Dual Speed Compression Evolution (DSC EVO) adjuster, allowing independent tuning of high- and low-speed compression damping. Variable Valve Control (VVC) on the high-speed circuit provides precise damping adjustments without adding preload to the shim stack, preserving small-bump sensitivity while increasing control during big impacts. The result is a suspension system that remains compliant on rough roads, composed at highway speeds, and capable when navigating demanding off-road terrain.
Vehicle-specific valving ensures optimized performance for the Tacoma platform, while hard-chromed 7/8-inch shafts, redundant sealing systems, and race-developed pistons provide long-term durability in extreme environments.
