Black Bear Performance offers three different levels of custom tuning service for your 1999-2007 GMC Sierra 6.0L and 8.1L.
Gains vary by engine type, configuration and vehicle condition prior to the tune.
- 6.0L engines will typically see a 20-35hp gain and 25-30ft-lbs.
- 8.1L engines will commonly see a 30-35hp gain and as much as 50-55ft-lbs of torque!
Power gains, combined with improved shift patterns, towing capabilities, throttle response and even fuel economy in many cases and you’ll have what feels like a whole new vehicle!
Manual transmission vehicles will see a big improvement in shift speed and feel.
Due to frequent issues with sensors on 6.0L and 8.1L vehicle used for heavy towing, we our AutoCal or Scan cable service with those vehicles.
Additional service offerings include:
- Speed and Rev Limiter Increase
- Efan enable
- Torque Management Modification/Removal
- Tire/Gear Change Calibration
- Accommodation of Most Modifications (Internal engine modifications, superchargers, turbochargers*, upgraded transmissions, etc).
Allison transmission tuning with AutoCal only.
*Due to variability in turbocharger systems, they must be evaluated by our tuner prior to committing to any services. Additional tuning service/hardware may be required.
